According to a report from the Ithaca Journal, Cornell assistant coach Brent Brekke has accepted the open assistant coaching position on the RedHawks staff, vacated by Jeff Blashill. Brekke, a 1994 graduate of Western Michigan, was a part of the Cornell Big Red coaching staff for 9 seasons, placing a heavy focus on defense and recruiting; his role will be similar in Oxford as well. This is a great get for the RedHawks. This will definitely help expand Miami’s recruiting resources into the New England area (Boston University/Boston College country.)
