>Blasi Signs Reworked Contract
>For those who haven’t heard the latest tidbit, Miami University announced on Friday afternoon that Enrico Blasi has signed a “reworked” contract. Terms were not disclosed, but the new deal is simply a raise for the 1994 Miami alum, as he signed a 10-year contract in 2007 that will keep him behind the RedHawks’ bench until the 2016-2017 season.
“Coach Blasi’s new contract exists because of the substantial financial contributions of a handful of alums, said Athletic Director Brad Bates. “Their commitment to Miami, athletics and our hockey program ensures that the best college hockey coach in the country will continue to lead our program for many years to come.” (MURedHawks.com)
Blasi is the winningest coach in Miami hockey history and is a finalist for the 2010 Spencer Penrose Award, given annually to the best coach in Division 1 hockey.
